Our History

Let's sow the seeds for the future
of tropical agriculture

Ronan Gorin

CEO Novalliance

More than 25 years ago, the idea for the Novalliance group—a unique adventure—began to take shape.

A pioneer in plant research for Africa, the Novalliance Group is committed to working alongside farmers to provide them with access to high-quality, affordable vegetable seeds. Its sustained growth over the years, the quality of its products and services, the unique expertise of its teams, its extensive distribution network, and its spirit of innovation are the Group’s strengths. Over the years, the Group has organized itself around four key business areas (Research, Seed Production, Manufacturing, and Distribution), guided by a quality-first approach designed to support farmers at every stage. It is thanks to this organizational structure that a bold strategy has been defined for the year 2030.

Beyond this strategy, the Novalliance Group relies above all on its people—men and women from diverse cultural backgrounds, with unique expertise and strong values. People are at the heart of Novalliance. Everyone can get involved on a daily basis and be part of this adventure, thanks to the participatory governance model we’ve put in place. Transparency, collaboration, freedom of action and speech, kindness, and innovation define Novalliance’s unique mindset.

Today, our expertise, our global outlook, and our philosophy lead us to collaborate with many partners. This encourages innovation, the diversification of our activities, and increasingly ambitious projects. From climate challenges to food security, Novalliance is more committed than ever to providing solutions for farmers in the tropics and to contributing to agriculture that is more respectful of both the environment and people.
