The joint mission carried out with the TOGOSEM team from 20 to 24 April 2026 provided an opportunity to organise numerous events as part of the Cabbage Festival:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Visit to trial plots for our new research varieties: BARON F1, BIG BALL F1, TROPIC LEADER F1, MEDICIS F1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Organisation of training sessions on cabbage diseases and pests, aimed at producer cooperatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      These events also provided an opportunity to discuss on-the-ground realities with growers, to distribute promotional items bearing the Cabbage Festival logo, and to hand out samples of the new varieties!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Organising field trips with our partners also allows us<\/strong>, from time to time, to visit some surprising trial sites. As it is always difficult to determine the exact behaviour of our varieties across all the agro-climatic zones covered by our markets, we are sometimes surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the Danyie area (mountainous zone), the MEDICIS F1 cabbage has, for example, delivered outstanding results<\/strong>, producing larger heads than the well-known OXYLUS, reaching 2 to 2.5 kg even under challenging conditions (presence of diseases, mainly black rot). Its resistance to field diseases and to pests such as caterpillars is particularly impressive for this variety <\/strong>(and, more generally, for TECHNISEM varieties). Its earliness is also remarkable: with only 2 months after transplanting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      There’s nothing like being in the field to truly grasp the potential of a variety!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
